How a Marketer Finds Legal Help

by Shirley George Frazier

Many years ago at the start of my business, I was introduced to an attorney during a networking event and hoped that she would be helpful as my law liaison if and when I required legal advice.

Not long after the introduction, I overheard the attorney say to another person,

“I want to get into politics.”

That statement ended any thoughts of hiring her.

You’ve heard about the importance of finding help for marketing and other parts of your business. It’s as true today as it was in the 1990s when I began working on my own. If you want to have as much time as possible to market and track the marketing you complete, there’s no way you can also be your own lawyer. This is even true for lawyers and why it’s important to find legal, accounting, and other professional assistance.

Affordable legal help was addressed in the December 2 edition of The Wall Street Journal, which you can read about here. Thankfully, as new talent and services carve industry niches, you are better able to find help in ways that weren’t attainable in the past. Finding legal expertise through one of the two firms mentioned in the article (if you don’t already have legal help) will put your mind at ease and let you get back to what you do best – marketing.
