What’s In Your Welcome Package?

by Shirley George Frazier on August 5, 2009

create a welcome package for your new clientsA year ago, a sore neck and back convinced my mom to seek chiropractic care.

I was with her during the initial visit as she reviewed her x-ray, learned about therapy, and committed to a schedule that hopefully will end her discomfort.

Before leaving the office, my mom was given a welcome package. The contents were arranged neatly in a plastic bag bearing the chiropractor’s materials and included:

  • A welcome letter
  • At-home exercise chart with text and visual formats
  • Coupon for a complimentary visit to give to a family member or friend
  • Water bottle with instructions stating how many times to fill and drink from it daily
  • Magnetic card with the office’s Web site address and details on what the visitor will find online
  • This small, yet efficient package is quick and easy for you to compile and distribute to every customer whether in person or by phone.

Perhaps the water bottle won’t be part of your package, but the print materials are items that are easy to create and reproduce.

The best part is that once you create the first kit, it’s simple to create multiples, storing them in a drawer for easy access.

Isn’t it time to welcome your clients and market your business all in one neat package?

    Hi Shirley,

Love this idea of a welcome package. Everything in the one your mom received sounded like it well thought-out.

I currently have welcome package, but your article has my brain clicking.

    Thanks.

    Hi Flora,

Isn’t it wonderful to take an existing idea and turn it into a product that brings you closer to your own customers?

Better yet, when each of us thinks about this, we already have the goods in our office to construct a welcome package of our own.
